Brief Bio on the Pastor

 Rev. Myers holds a B.A. degree in Psychology from Wake Forest University and a M.Div. from Lancaster Theological Seminary.  During the summer of 1986 he completed a basic unit of Clinical Pastoral Education at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Throughout his ministry in Winston-Salem, NC.  Forever eager to learn, he has participated in a variety of continuing education program throughout his ministry.

 Rev. Myers was ordained by the Western North Carolina Association on June 21,1987.  For 7 ½ years he served as pastor of  Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Concord, NC and has served First Reformed United Church of Christ since the Fall of 1994.

 Throughout his ministry, Rev. Myers has offered leadership to numerous denominational and community boards.  A partial list includes:  Johns River Valley Camp, the Blowing Rock Conference Center, the Cooperative Christian Ministries, Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, CROP Walk, and Habitat for Humanity. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Alamance County Community Service Agency.

 He and his wife Lois have one child, Sarah.
